Exterior detail of a completed Catalyst Construction project
Selected workMarketing, communications & content / 2023—Now

An embedded marketing partner for a company in motion.

Catalyst did not need a campaign dropped in from the outside. It needed a marketing function that could stay close to the work: listening to leadership, learning what was happening on jobsites, and turning those details into communications people could actually use.

We support that work week to week. Project photography feeds proposals and the website. Employee stories become internal and external content. Leadership priorities become clearer communication. Each piece is designed to strengthen the next one rather than live as a one-off deliverable.

Story capture

The strongest material was already inside the company.

We created practical ways to collect it. Story cards give people in the field and office a low-friction way to record moments that would otherwise disappear: a decision that protected a client, a team that solved a problem, or a lesson worth carrying into the next project.

The State of the Company meeting gives those stories a regular place to travel. We help shape the presentation and the communications around it so leadership can make priorities clear and employees can see how their work connects to the whole business.

From the field

A repeatable way to hear what is happening.

The cards are intentionally simple. They meet people where the work happens and give marketing something more useful than a generic project update: specific language, first-hand observations, and the human detail behind the finished building.

Catalyst Quarterly

One publication, built from many voices.

Catalyst Quarterly turns the knowledge spread across leadership, project teams, partners, and clients into a coherent editorial product. We help find the stories, shape the interviews, organize the issue, and design the finished publication.

The magazine gives the company a place for ideas that deserve more than a social post. It also creates a durable source of language, examples, and perspective that can feed future communications across the business.

The process begins before the deck.

We are creating the means to collect information from project teams and leadership before a request becomes urgent. That makes the final proposal more specific because the raw material already exists and the people closest to the work have had a way to contribute.

Useful communication at every scale.

The same thinking carries into leave-behinds and one-sheets. Technical ideas stay accurate, but the hierarchy and language make them easier for clients and project partners to understand quickly.

FAQ

Here are quick answers to the things founders ask us most

Daymade is a creative agency working in four areas: brand strategy, brand identity, websites, and ongoing marketing. Most engagements combine two or three of them. We have run 52 projects for 27 clients over five-plus years.

We work with clients across Central Illinois, including Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, Champaign-Urbana, Springfield and Decatur, and we take remote work anywhere in the United States. Being close by means we can run the opening workshop in person, which is usually the fastest way to get a brand unstuck.

It depends on scope, so we quote per project rather than publishing a rate card. As a rough guide, a focused brand identity or website sits in the mid five figures, a full brand and website build runs higher, and ongoing marketing is a monthly retainer. We tell you the number before any work starts.

A focused brand or website project typically runs 8 to 16 weeks. That covers five stages: workshop and strategy, moodboards, visual direction, design and build, then handoff. Ongoing marketing is a rolling monthly engagement.

A branding agency decides what you stand for and what you look and sound like. A marketing agency takes that to an audience. Daymade does both, which is why the campaign work does not contradict the brand it is meant to be selling.

Yes. A lot of our work is with founders and early-stage teams who need to punch above their weight, and we scope engagements to the stage the business is actually at rather than the stage it hopes to be at.

Start with the Sit Down, a free conversation rather than a pitch. Email hello@daymadeagency.com or use the contact form. Bring the messy version of the problem; we will help sort what matters now from what can wait.
